Microsoft founder Bill Gates says he feels inspired by his granddaughter Leila to want to improve the world. The 67-year-old posted a photo on Instagram of himself reading a children’s book to a little girl. He writes: “Becoming a grandfather has given me a whole new perspective on the world. It motivates me to ensure that my granddaughter – and all of our grandchildren – inherit a better world than the one they were born into .”
The billionaire invests billions of dollars in the fight against disease and poverty worldwide through the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, which he set up with his ex-wife. His eldest daughter Jennifer, who is holding the little girl in her arms in the photo, announced the birth of her daughter Leila in March. Two years ago she married the professional show jumper Nayel Nassar. Gates has two daughters and a son with his former wife Melinda.
