Over a seven-year period, at the height of his fame between 2006 and 2013, actor and comedian Russel Brand is alleged to have abused, coerced and harassed women. Only one thing is different: Although media around the world report that his agency, his book publisher and the YouTube platform have distanced themselves from him, Brand could get off lightly. His critics say: because he deliberately withdrew from the entertainment world.
