The former Grand Slam winner Francesca Schiavone has won the fight against cancer.
The now 39-year-old Italian who in 2010 won the French Open at the legendary Roland Garros-plant, has also previously been in the trænerteamet about Caroline Wozniacki, where Schiavone tried to help the team to success on the red gravel.
Now Schiavone so made it public that she recently fought a hard battle against cancer.
A battle that she thankfully won, as you can see on the previous tennisspillers Instagramprofil.
“Hello, everybody, after 7-8 months of silence from the social media and the world, I would like to share what has happened with me. I was diagnosed with cancer,” writes Francesca Schiavone in her postings on Instagram.
the Italian achieved in January 2011, its highest ranking in the world ranking, where she was perched at number four, and in addition, she had also a great career in doubles, where she and a transition was number eight in the world.
