On the way to the restaurant, where they would enjoy a good dinner, had the two men namely the eye on two small children who stood alone on the tættrafikerede road Park Allé in Aarhus.

“We were actually passed by, but something got me to thinking: There is something wrong. It is not normal, that there are two small children all alone so close to the road,” says Claus Vitved.

At a bus stop – all the way out to the road – directly opposite Aarhus city Hall sat a little girl in the stroller, while a slightly older boy running around on her.

Claus Vitved assess that the children are, respectively, approximately one year and two and a half years old and tells how the little boy seemed caring towards the little girl.

“He gave her the pacifier, and were very much aware of her,” says østjyden and adds:

“They were neat and velsoignerede. Their hair was sitting nicely, and there were no stains on their clothes so that they looked like someone who had been taken care of.”

Claus Vitved do not think that the children had stood at the road for very long, since they were not dissatisfied, and not seemed bored by it.

Yet was the sight of two small children alone on a busy road on a Saturday night so unaccustomed, to Claus Vitved and his companion decided to return and investigate further.

“The first thought we had was that their parents had risen on the bus and had forgotten to take them with, but so would any the stand off at the next stop and rush back,” says Claus Vitved.

The two østjyder was therefore in the area and kept an eye on. They also tried to talk with the kids, but even though the little boy responded by to look and smile, he answered not, suggesting that he did not understand what the two men said.

After – without success – to have a look at nearby shops for someone that had something with the small children to do, decided Claus Vitved and Jens Andersen to call the police, which came after 30 minutes and took the children.

the Concern ended not, however, even though the two men made sure that the kids were in good hands.

“It came to fill the entire evening, because you can’t put it away. I was very concerned, and still am today,” says Claus Vitved and adds:

“I just hope that the police find their parents.”

east Jutland Police have still not clues to go after in search of parents or relatives of the children. It is therefore not managed to identify them.

“We don’t know much about them or their origin. We are trying to track us on their ethnicity, so perhaps we can get an interpreter,” says vagtchef Martin Christensen to Ritzau.

He also says that they are carefully looking surveillance from Park Avenue through in trying to find out who has left them.

east Jutland Police would like to get in touch with citizens who have knowledge of the family or has seen the children along with their parents.
