Bushido (44) recently announced in his podcast “Backstage” with Peter Rossberg that he would be on stage again next year – which could also mean a farewell. “I’m so excited to go on tour,” explained the rapper. “It’s been a long time since I’ve been, but I think I’ll go on tour one last time next year. The last tour of my life.” He wants to perform in Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne, Frankfurt, Munich, Stuttgart, Leipzig, Vienna, Zurich and Oberhausen.
The musician doesn’t have to do without his family while on tour, as Anna-Maria Ferchichi (41) explained to her followers in an Instagram story. When asked, “When your husband goes on tour next year, will the big kids and you sometimes be there?” She replied: “Sure, the entire family. Including the triplets.” With the emoji of a broken heart, she also added: “It will be dad’s last tour.”
Bushido, who lives with his family in his adopted home of Dubai, emphasized in the podcast that security concerns will not dissuade him from performing in Germany. “Then it will be done in such a way that it is safe. Period. It’s not possible,” the rapper clarified. “I don’t want to let the last tour of my life be taken away from me. I’m up for it, the people are up for it. This feeling of being on stage, the curtain falls and you have the microphone in your hand – you can’t describe it. That’s crazy.”
According to their own statement, Bushido was last on tour seven years ago. He always enjoyed playing live, but the people who toured with him made it “bad and terrible” and “unbearable.” “At some point it got to the point where I no longer had anything to report. […] Everything surrounding it was unpleasant. The tour was ultimately such a traumatic experience that I’ve now put it aside a bit and of course “I also had other things to do in the last few years.”
Bushido, whose real name is Anis Ferchichi, has been married to Anna-Maria Ferchichi since 2012. The couple has seven children together. Anna-Maria Ferchichi brought another son into the marriage.
