The Canadian superstar Drake (36) had to give his millions of fans around the world some unpleasant news. As he revealed on Friday (October 6th) in the radio format “Table For One”, according to the US website “People”, he will have to take a break for the time being. He cites health problems as the reason, but immediately reassures: “It’s nothing serious. But I want people to go through life healthy. I’ve had the strangest problems with my stomach for several years.”
Only when he has gotten the problem under control does he want to devote himself to music again. He therefore cannot say exactly how long he plans to retire from show business. “I’m going to lock the studio door for a while. I don’t even know what ‘a while’ means. Maybe a year or so, maybe a little longer.”
When you look at the artist’s official homepage, you notice that the only dates for his current “It’s All A Blur” tour are next Saturday (October 7th) in Toronto. For five other dates, all in the USA, only “TBD” (“to be determined”) is written.
A blessing in disguise for all Drake fans: Drake has just released “For All The Dogs”, his eighth studio album. For now, his fans can console themselves about the bad news with brand new songs. It is guaranteed that the new long player will once again be a huge success.
In September 2018, Drake broke an ancient Beatles record: all 25 tracks from his album “Scorpion” were in the Billboard 100 charts, seven of them in the top ten. His previous work “Honestly, Nevermind” was only released last year and achieved Drake’s best placement in the charts to date in Germany, third place.
