The attacks on Israel are currently shaking the world. Many Hollywood stars have already expressed their sympathy for the country. Now the Dutch royal family has also joined in and expressed their sympathy for the people of Israel via social media. King Willem-Alexander (56) and Queen Máxima (52) published a statement on the official Instagram channel on Monday (October 9th).

“The attacks on Israel this weekend have caused indescribable suffering,” wrote the Dutch royal couple. They have already personally addressed Israel’s President Yitzchak “Buji” Herzog (63): “We have sent our condolences and solidarity to President Herzog. Our thoughts are with the Israeli population and all families affected by the violence or concerned about them Relatives mourn.”

Hamas unexpectedly began attacks against Israel from Gaza on Saturday morning – by land, sea and air. Several places near the border were attacked. According to Israeli reports, hundreds of Israelis were killed and more than 100 people – including women, children and senior citizens – were kidnapped into the Gaza Strip.

Over the weekend, Gal Gadot (38), Amy Schumer (42), Guy Oseary (51), Jamie Lee Curtis (64) and Bar Refaeli (38) had already published compassionate words in posts on Instagram and X (formerly Twitter). Other prominent voices have now joined – including Madonna (65), Natalie Portman (42) and Mark Hamill (72).
