Movies – Fifty shades of black
This is a black comedy. Not a thriller, not a thriller, but a satire with plenty of humor… and black actors. Jean-Pascal Zadi, 39 years old, 1.96 m, former rapper, acknowledges himself to have little “flow” but the flair. His first “real” movie – produced and distributed by Gaumont – fate in a burning hot, so that, since the death of George Floyd in the United States, France, and the world stumble about the place of Blacks in society. Clever and somewhat self-indulgent, Jean-Pascal Zadi and his sidekick John Wax mock slogans and buzzwords, preferring to play the card of humor, self-mockery – which does not weaken them. The story is that ” JP “, player missed played by Zadi himself, who intends to launch in Paris, in all sincerity, a great Pride event black – first reserved for men. As its meetings (Omar Sy, Fary, Lilian Thuram, Claudia Tagbo, JoeyStarr, Eric Judor, Fabrice Éboué, Lucien Jean-Baptiste, Augustin Trapenard and Cyril Hanouna), JP is forced to open its market to women, Blacks not so black (the scene with Vikash Dhorasoo is hilarious), the Arabs (Ramzi), and to the jews (Jonathan Cohen) unable to find a common ground. If it falls sheer in a political tense, the film does not take the feet in the shots. And we laugh in front of this mirror of the human condition. Regardless of his skin color.
In a room on the 8th July.

If you only had a vague idea of who was Alexander Hamilton before you dive into the musical comedy inspired by the life of this founding father of the United States, after almost three hours of show, you fredonnerez his name in rhythm with the melody. Or should we say rapping ? This is not a coincidence that this performance (recorded during three performances on Broadway with the cast of the original) was put online on the weekend of 4 July, the national holiday, which commemorates the Declaration of independence of 1776, because, in american history, there is a before and after Alexander Hamilton. This film version of the biopic, which blends brilliantly with constitutional history, and a soundtrack of hip-hop, is available on Disney+. The musical, composed and performed by Lin-Manuel Miranda is a show electrifying, end-to-end, which counts Barack and Michelle Obama among its fans of the first hour.
