As part of World Mental Health Day, Prince William (41) and Princess Kate (41) attended another appointment. The heir to the British throne and his wife visited Bisham Abbey National Sports Center on October 12 to take part in a mental fitness workshop.
Kate arrived at the event, organized by the charity SportsAid, wearing a blue blazer from Zara, a white top and dark jeans. However, she soon took off the blazer because the two royals were not only informed about the work of the organization on site. The Prince and Princess of Wales also took part in several exercises along with young athletes and some parents.
SportsAid published impressions of the sporting event on X (formerly Twitter). First, William and Kate competed in penalty throws in the ball sport netball. Then we moved on to goalball, a Paralympic sport for people with visual impairments. The two were blindfolded and had to try to score a goal. The focus of both exercises is on building mental resilience.
It goes on to say that the royal couple’s visit will help “raise awareness and understanding of the vital importance of supporting young people and their families to manage their mental wellbeing – and how they help themselves and each other to do so “to build the skills for happy and healthy experiences in sport and life”.
