For more than 30 years, “Lindenstrasse” delighted series fans on the first and made television history – until the last episode in March 2020 marked the end of the long-running hit. Now viewers can watch the 1,758 episodes again. “Lindenstrasse” will be available to stream on ARD Plus from November 16th. The paid streaming service shows content that is no longer available in the ARD media library.

All episodes of the cult series “Lindenstrasse” by director and author Hans W. Geißendörfer (82) will be shown there over the next few months, according to a statement. On November 16th, ARD Plus will start publishing episodes 1-52. There will then be another season every week, every Thursday. From December 6th there will also be a special that will contain 35 Christmas episodes of “Lindenstraße”, it is said.

The weekly series “Lindenstrasse” began its success story on December 8, 1985. Among other things, it was celebrated for depicting social and political developments as well as current events. Many actors such as Marie-Luise Marjan (83) as mother Beimer or Andrea Spatzek (64) as Gabi Zenker were there from the beginning. Other stars of the series were Joachim Hermann Luger (80), who died after more than 30 years as Hans Beimer, or Moritz Sachs (45) alias Klaus Beimer and Rebecca Siemoneit-Barum (45) as Iphigenie “Iffi” Zenker and Sybille Waury (53, Tanja Schildknecht) or Martin Armknecht (61, Robert Engel).

It was already announced in November 2018 that “Lindenstrasse” would be closed after more than three decades. The last episode of the WDR series ran on Sunday, March 29, 2020.
