A heated vest is a sleeveless piece of clothing that – unlike a normal vest – can generate heat. This is made possible by special heating elements (usually wires or carbon fibers) that are incorporated into the material and are powered by electricity. To activate a heating vest, it simply needs to be switched on using an on/off switch. How long the warmth lasts and how many different heating levels a vest has depends on the manufacturer. Below we will introduce you to five different models in different price ranges.
The heating vest from Dr. According to the manufacturer, Prepare is suitable for women and men, but is only available in one size. However, it should be possible to adapt the model to the body using four zippers. It also includes six carbon fiber heating panels in different locations to warm your neck, back, stomach and waist equally. You can decide for yourself what temperature the vest should be using three integrated heating levels: 45, 50 or 55 degrees Celsius. Depending on which level you choose, the heat lasts for up to seven hours. The heated vest is then charged using a power cable with a 2A/2.4A USB output, which is included in the scope of delivery.
The Kemimoto heated vest for men is available in five different sizes (from S to XXL). It has eight heating zones: two at chest height, two on the stomach and four on the back. These are adjustable, so you can decide for yourself whether you prefer to have your chest and stomach or your back warmed when you’re on the move. The temperature can also be adjusted to your comfort using three adjustable heat levels (low, medium and high). The heating vest can be recharged with a 5V/2A USB charging cable. Unfortunately, a suitable power bank that you can easily store in your bag is not included and would have to be purchased.
Unlike the first two heated vests, which are made of polyester, this unisex model from Labewvi is made of polar fleece. It is available in seven different sizes (from S to 4XL) and in two different colors (blue and black). The jacket has six heating zones, spread across the collar, back and stomach, as well as three adjustable temperatures. At the lowest level, the vest should be able to provide heat for up to six hours. What is particularly practical here is that the power bank (7.4V/5.0V) required for the integrated battery is included in the scope of delivery. In addition, the heating vest can be cleaned in the washing machine.
This heated vest for women from Sevdiea is available in six sizes (XS to XXL). You can protect your upper body from the cold outdoors with eight integrated heating areas on the stomach, neck, waist and back. The temperature on the front and back can be individually adjusted between 45 and 65 degrees Celsius using three heating levels and two separate switches. When fully charged, the heated vest (according to the manufacturer) should provide warmth for up to 20 hours thanks to the integrated battery pack. The 7.4V 16000mAh power bank is also included in the scope of delivery. In addition, the water-repellent and windproof heating vest made of polyester is washable.
At the bottom of this round of introductions is by far the most expensive model for men: a heated vest made of polyester and spandex from Bosch Professional – available from size M to size XL. The scope of delivery includes a USB charging adapter (GAA 12V-21), but you won’t find a battery here. According to the manufacturer, a long-lasting warming function is guaranteed; this promise is made possible by integrated three-zone heating and three heating levels in the lower back and at chest level (left and right). The warm-up time is three minutes, while the maximum run time is seven hours.
