Doro Pesch (59), the “Queen of Metal”, is finally releasing her new studio album: “Conqueress – Forever Strong And Proud”. On October 28th, she wants to have a big, sold-out concert in the state capital. The Düsseldorf native has already caused quite a stir with her 40th stage anniversary this year. The new, 14th audio album follows five years after “Forever Warriors / Forever United”.

She has already sold ten million studio albums, and now there are plans to sell a few more. 19 pieces including five bonus tracks can be heard on the new album.

Pesch leaves no doubt who he means by “Conqueress”: “At first I just wanted to call the album “Forever Strong And Proud”. But then I thought that maybe it needed a little more. Conqueress sounds more powerful. It’s the feminine form of conqueror, and I thought that was cool.”

Doro Pesch is fulfilling a dream

Rob Halford from Judas Priest is there: The Judas Priest anthem “Living After Midnight” is reinterpreted on the album and Bonnie Tyler’s “Total Eclipse Of The Heart” can be heard in a hit-worthy version of the duet Halford/Pesch. “Rob is one of my favorite singers of all time and such a huge inspiration, so it’s another dream come true.”

“Conqueress” starts with powerful choirs and “Children Of The Dawn”. The next surprise, also with hit potential: “Bond Unending”, a duet with Sammy Amara from the Broilers, which has already been released as a single. Pesch, who now lives in sunny Miami (Florida/USA), worked diligently on the album in studios in Miami, New York and Hamburg.

Between metal and ballads

The mix should do it: Classic metal songs paired with hymns, more radio-friendly rock tracks and new ballads like “Best In Me” and “Fels in der Surfen”. Metallica’s “The Four Horsemen” is included as a cover version.

Metal queen Doro has given 3,500 concerts in 60 countries in 40 years. Their rise began in 1984 with the Warlock debut album “Burning the Witches”. She has now developed a loyal fan base around the world – her family, as she calls them. The next concert dates are scheduled for 2024.
