Ximo Jackson has recognized this Tuesday in Toledo that it was on television when he discovered the ingenuity and art of the King of Pop, Michael Jackson. From that moment on, he has become the greatest imitator of the American genius, to whom he pays tribute, with voices and live music, in ‘Michael Legacy’, a show with which he arrives this Saturday at 8:00 p.m. at the El Greco Auditorium , and which has already been seen by 400,000 viewers.
The artist presented this show at the Cafetín del Teatro de Rojas, in which he was accompanied by the Councilor for Culture, Teo García, and in which he explained that ‘Michael’s Legacy’ is a journey through many eras and with which reviews, with a very careful set design, the genius Michael Jackson.
Similarly, the musician and dancer has assured that with this show he wants to show his passion for Michael Jackson, whom he has followed since he was very young. Specifically since he was five years old, after seeing the American artist’s show ‘Smooth Criminal’. “From then on I became an unconditional fan of this protagonist,” he confessed during the press conference.
In this sense, he added that he only dedicates himself to this profession, to imitate his idol with affection and humility since childhood so that “fans remember him and new generations discover him,” he clarified.
Ximo has affirmed that they are exact replicas of the original songs of the musician born in Indiana (United States) and that with this montage what he wants is to ensure that the public can enjoy thanks to the music and live voices, as well as with the body of dance of his company, which is made up of eight dancers.
On the other hand, Jackson has indicated that his show, in tribute to Michael Jackson, is the only show endorsed by the artist’s fan club from the beginning. «More than 400,000 spectators guarantee us and every year we do between 80 and 90 concerts in different cities».
According to Jackson, since 2015 they have been renewing the show with live music and voices, since some cities they have attended have requested that different songs be incorporated into this show.
Lastly, he pointed out that he hopes that the ‘El Greco’ Conference Center will fill up and has encouraged Toledans who like music to come to this event to “sing, dance and enjoy”.
For his part, the Councilor for Culture, Teo García, has pointed out that it is a privilege to be able to count on Ximo Jackson and his musical about the King of Pop in Toledo since it is a “very fashionable” theatrical genre that could not be missing in the offer of the Teatro de Rojas according to the tastes, preferences, quality surveys and the feelings of the citizens who want a “first division” performing arts program in the capital.
Thus, the Councilor for Culture has highlighted the diversity of styles that it hosts, at the same time that he has recalled that this, ‘Michael’s Legacy’, is the sixth musical that takes place in Toledo this season: ‘Moster rock’, ‘Emocional . The musical’, ‘Fortunata and Benito’, ‘Through the eyes of Raquel Meyer’ and ‘Romeo and Juliet’ are some of the titles that have landed this year in the regional capital.
