The Valencian Community has reported 4,728 new cases of coronavirus since the last update on Friday. Of these, 2,227 -47%- are from people over 60 years of age. This has been indicated by the Ministry of Health in the data balance of the pandemic that it offers twice a week.

In this regard, the incidence rate in that age group has dropped, in the same period, by almost seven points to stand at 695.29 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, below the national average of 800.47, according to the update of the Ministry of Health.

Hospitals in the three provinces currently have 769 people admitted for covid-19, 36 of them in the ICU. They are nine more and nine less, respectively, than in the last update.

On the other hand, Health has registered thirteen more deaths from coronavirus, bringing the total number of deaths since the start of the pandemic to 9,391. They are six women, between 78 and 100 years old, and seven men between 79 and 95 years old.
