The Government of Castilla-La Mancha, through the General Directorate of Public Health, has confirmed 2,584 new cases of coronavirus infection during the week of May 16 to 22 in people over 60 years of age, 261 less than a week ago. By province, Toledo has registered 848 cases, Ciudad Real 682 cases, Albacete 506, Cuenca 380 and Guadalajara 168.
Currently the number of people hospitalized in a conventional bed for Covid-19 is 369, two less than the previous week. By province, Albacete has 110 of these patients (89 in the Albacete Hospital, 9 in the Hellín Hospital, 7 in the Almansa Hospital and 5 in the Villarrobledo Hospital), Ciudad Real 95 (34 in the Mancha Centro Hospital, 27 in the Ciudad Real Hospital, 12 in the Puertollano Hospital, 10 in the Valdepeñas Hospital, 7 in the Manzanares Hospital and 5 in the Tomelloso Hospital), Toledo 89 (57 in the Toledo Hospital, 29 in the Talavera de la Reina Hospital and 3 in the National Paraplegic Hospital), Guadalajara 48 (all admitted to the Guadalajara Hospital) and Cuenca 27 (all to the Cuenca Hospital).
The patients admitted to the Intensive Care Units who need a respirator are 10, five less than a week ago. By province, Albacete has 4 of these patients, Ciudad Real 4, Guadalajara 1 and Cuenca 1. Throughout the week 7 patients were admitted to Intensive Care Units and 332 in conventional beds.
Likewise, during week 20, 38 deaths from Covid-19 were registered, 14 more than last week, of which 10 belong to the province of Toledo, 9 to the province of Albacete, 8 to Ciudad Real, 7 to Guadalajara and 4 in Cuenca.
A total of 95 social health centers in Castilla-La Mancha have confirmed cases of coronavirus among residents, one center less than a week ago. Specifically, there are 31 in the province of Toledo, 20 in the province of Ciudad Real, 17 in Albacete, 15 in Guadalajara and 12 in Cuenca. Confirmed cases among residents are 776.
