One day before the official release, rapper Badmómzjay (21) will present her new album “Survival Mode” on November 23, 2023 as part of a Telekom Street gig. Fans can watch the concert live on Magenta TV or the broadcaster

The location where Badmómzjay will present their second album was initially secret. It is now clear: the popular Berlin techno club RSO.Berlin is opening its doors to the rapper. At street gigs, musicians perform in unusual places. Billy Talent played at a car cemetery in Cologne in 2007. Deichkind rapped on a car ferry in 2009 and Ed Sheeran sang on the Zugspitze in 2014.

Badmómzjay will be supported at the gig by various feature artists who can be heard on “Survival Mode”. So far only Kool Savas (48) has been mentioned by name. The veteran of Berlin street rap raps with Badmómzjay on the song “Airplanes”, which has already been released as a single and is based on the hit of the same name by US rapper B.o.B (34).

Badmómzjay, who was born Jordan Napieray in Brandenburg an der Havel, first drew attention to herself in 2019. In 2021, the Berlin resident released her first album “Badmómz”, which rose to number 7 in the German charts.

Badmómzjay announced the follow-up album in August 2022 when she released the intro song for “Survival Mode”. In it she dealt with her long break and the prejudices about being a flash in the pan. But the LP was delayed. “I thought I wasn’t going to do the album. I thought this album just wasn’t coming,” she once said in an Instagram story. But now the time has come.
