The City of Geneva’s executive will lend 28.8 million Francs to its municipal council for the renovation of the Vernets Ice Rink. Although residential buildings will be built near the Vernets ice rink, it is necessary to reduce the ammonia required for its ice. The reception area at Geneva Servette HC will be overhauled as the Geneva Servette HC’s current facility is getting older. The work will allow for significant energy savings in one of the most opulent complexes in the city. This also includes the pool. The plans include a photovoltaic roof, and the utilization of waste heat from ice-making.
