Doña Letizia begins a very important as consort of the Head of State. These days, the Queen will be in charge of hosting the wives and first ladies who come to Madrid for the NATO Summit. Among the plans on the Casa Real agenda is to visit the Royal Palace of La Granja, the Royal Glass Factory, the Reina Sofía Museum or the Royal Theatre, among other activities. Before starting this official program, the Queen welcomed Jill Biden, wife of the President of the United States who landed last Sunday at the Torrejón de Ardoz air base.
The first contact between Queen Letizia and Jill Biden
It took place at the Palacio de la Zarzuela this Monday morning, where both held a brief meeting to kick off the various joint events planned for the coming days. After this first meeting, both went to the headquarters of the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC), of which Mrs. Letizia Ortiz is permanent honorary president.
Once again the Queen’s look has not gone unnoticed, who for the occasion has chosen a flattering polka dot dress that undoubtedly brings to mind those polka dots of flamenco tradition. It is a long midi dress, fitted silhouette, round neck and short sleeves, with white polka dots on a black background. It is a creation by the Andalusian designer José Hidalgo, specialized in flamenco dresses, who apparently made this custom design for the queen with fabric from her 2019 collection. A very special style that the Queen has combined with black undercut pumps by Carolina Herrera and her inseparable Karen Hallam ring.
For her part, Jill Biden has chosen the color red for the occasion with a two-piece set made up of a jacket with gold buttons and a midi skirt, which she has worn together with slingback shoes with jewel detail.
