The German acting star Tom Wlaschiha (50) was very impressed by Donald Sutherland (88), as he says in the “Playboy” special edition “How to be a Man” (released on November 23rd). When asked which international film star particularly impressed him while working together on set, the 50-year-old replied: “Working on ‘Crossing Lines’ with Donald Sutherland was certainly a special experience. The man was already a legend when I was born And during filming over three seasons, it was always a gift to be able to play with him.” You can often see that very successful colleagues in particular are very approachable and unpretentious, the actor explained. “And once the camera is rolling, everyone tries to do their best.”
Tom Wlaschiha also reveals in “How to be a Man” that “things have become a lot easier” for him in the film business since “Game of Thrones.” If you’re lucky enough to be part of such a big production, “then more offers will follow. That’s why it was a very big step. For years before, I had the feeling that I was investing a lot of energy and a lot of passion in it job, but there was less return than I wanted.”
Tom Wlaschiha gained international fame when he appeared in the hit HBO series “Game of Thrones” in 2012. In the second season he played Jaqen H’ghar in a guest role. From the fifth season onwards, his character, also known as the Faceless Man, was part of the main cast. He starred in the crime series “Crossing Lines” from 2013 to 2015.
