The production of the film “Being Mortal” by Aziz Ansari (39) has been on hold for several months. The reason is the star of the strip, Bill Murray (72), and his “inappropriate behavior” on the set. The “Puck” website now wants to know what exactly happened, citing several unspecified sources.
Murray is said to have “ridden” the “much younger” staff member near a bed on the set, which she was unable to resist due to his weight. In addition, the actor is said to have kissed the woman when both were wearing masks.
Murray had defended his actions by saying they were meant as a joke. The alleged victim, however, is said to have understood her as “absolutely sexual” and was “horrified” by it. The woman filed a complaint, as did a second employee who witnessed the incident.
Murray and the woman are said to have come to terms with money, the article continues. The settlement, which is said to have cost $100,000 (about 103,000 euros), also includes a non-disclosure agreement. In return, the woman is said to be waiving her right to take legal action against Searchlight and Disney.
Murray described the incident in an interview with CNBC, saying: “I had a disagreement with a woman I work with. I did something that I thought was funny but it wasn’t taken that way.” As another actress now reports, it shouldn’t be the first time that Murray’s behavior was perceived as “bad” by his colleagues.
Geena Davis (66) is also currently reporting unpleasant experiences with Murray in her memoirs “Dying of Politeness”. The two worked together on the film A Crazy Genius Coup in the early 1990s. The first meeting took place in a hotel room, with Murray allegedly using a massager on her against Davis’s will.
He is also said to have yelled at her in front of the crew, the other actors and viewers during a shoot. “It was bad,” David tells The Times. “The way he behaved when we first met… I should have gone straight out or defended myself extensively, in which case I wouldn’t have gotten the part.”
