Pop star Taylor Swift has a birthday surprise: On December 13th she will release her concert film for the current world tour “The Eras Tour” via streaming, the singer announced on her social media. Swift turns 34 that day.
The singer continued that she wanted to celebrate the year together with her fans at home in a fun way. The streaming version also contains three more songs than the movie – “Wildest Dreams”, “The Archer” and “Long Live”. The stream will only be available in the USA and Canada, with other countries to follow.
“Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” was released in cinemas worldwide in mid-October. The concert film immediately set a record on its opening weekend. Grossing around $95 million in North America alone, the film surpassed Canadian singer Justin Bieber’s most successful concert film to date, “Never Say Never” (2011), which grossed $73 million over its entire run.
The singer has been on tour worldwide since March. She concluded her South American leg with a concert in São Paulo on Sunday, and the tour is scheduled to continue in Japan in February. The European start is planned for May in Paris. Next July she also wants to be on stage in Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg and Munich.
