The moderator Markus Lanz (53) has to cancel his ZDF talk show again due to illness. The broadcaster announced this on Thursday afternoon. For the first time, the talk show “Markus Lanz” was canceled the day before – for the first time since 2008 after more than 1,700 episodes. A ZDF spokesman confirmed to the news agency spot on news that Lanz continued to suffer from “cold symptoms and hoarseness”. Instead, from 11:15 p.m. the repetition of the documentary “Markus Lanz – America without makeup” will run.
According to information from “Focus”, the Markus Lanz team had the show prepared for the evening as usual in an editorial conference in the morning. Vice Chancellor and Economics Minister Robert Habeck (53, Bündnis90/Die Grünen) should have been a guest of Markus Lanz on Wednesday. After the first refusal, the broadcaster sent her moderator wishes for a recovery via Twitter: “We wish you a speedy recovery.”
