Camilla didn’t have to look far for her place as Queen Consort at the side of her husband, King Charles III. She has long since found topics for which she would like to campaign in her prominent role. To this end, she invited high-ranking guests and celebrities to Buckingham Palace.

Queen Consort Camilla wants to help women who have been subjected to violence, she demands that these “heinous crimes” finally come to an end. It is important that such topics are discussed and that celebrities stand up for them. While it’s not always possible to help women affected by violence directly, it’s important for those around you to open their eyes and try to listen when someone has something to tell you, Camilla said.

On this occasion, the king’s wife invited 300 guests to Buckingham Palace in London. Celebrity guests included Sophie, Duchess of Wessex, Queen Mathilde of Belgium, Queen Consort Camilla, Queen Rania of Jordan, Danish Crown Princess Mary, Sierra Leone’s First Lady Fatima Maada Bio and also First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska.

Camilla, who delivered an impressive speech at the event, spoke with Home Secretary Suella Braverman and Health Secretary Steve Barclay in the Palace’s White Drawing Room.

The Queen Consort also made time for her guests to speak to some of them individually. So did singer Mel B, dressed in her signature leopard print. Former Spice Girl Melanie Brown, who was awarded an MBE for her work with the charity Women’s Aid, chatted animatedly with Camilla. Mel B also commended her courage in raising and publicizing such a difficult subject.
