Wrestling icon John Cena (45) and “Dune” star Jason Momoa (43) will star in the new action comedy “Killer Vacation”. This is reported by “Variety”, citing insiders. Accordingly, Warner Bros. has recruited the two muscular actors for the feature film project. Nothing is known about the plot at this time. Cena and Momoa met on the set of the upcoming Fast and the Furious series finale and are looking to bring their natural chemistry to another film, sources said.

The project can best be compared to brisk adventures like “True Lies”, the portal quotes its sources. The 1994 film starred Arnold Schwarzenegger (75). As a former bodybuilder, Schwarzenegger would at least physically resemble Cena and Momoa. “True Lies” is about a computer salesman who leads a double life as an anti-terrorist agent. It was directed by “Avatar” creator James Cameron (68).

The screenplay for “Killer Vacation” was written by Mark and Brian Gunn, according to Variety. John Rickard (45) and Peter Safran (57) are to act as producers. The film had already been prepared in the studio before Safran took over at DC Films together with James Gunn (56), it said.

Speaking of DC, Cena and Momoa have both played superheroes in the DC Universe. Momoa will be back as the King of Atlantis in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom in December 2023. Cena also proved his comedic talent this year as “Peacemaker” in the HBO Max series of the same name.
