Mike Tindall did what many expected of him: at the campfire in the British jungle camp, he told one or two anecdotes from his life with the Royal Family.
If you’ve wondered if Anne’s daughter Zara Tindall’s husband got in trouble for revealing stories of family life, let me tell you no. Because of course Tindall asked for permission in advance. “You don’t want to upset anyone,” Tindall said on his podcast The Good, the Bad, and the Rugby. “I spoke to the Prince of Wales about it and he said, ‘Great, go have fun,'” he recalled. Prince of Wales is the title given to King Charles III. passed to his eldest son William.
Mike also revealed that he kept some of his answers to campmates’ questions short so they wouldn’t be broadcast in the first place. In this way he could avoid certain things being discussed. However, he did not get any kind of muzzle from the palace.
Tindall was extremely popular with British jungle fans for his relaxed nature. So he frankly told how he met his current wife and revealed how he once accidentally showed his mother-in-law Princess Anne his private parts. While dancing at a party, his flared trousers, which were a little too tight, burst. “The boxer shorts I wore had it printed, ‘Eat my nuts,'” he told his co-stars, who burst out laughing. “As I slowly turned around, I heard her say: ‘I’d rather not do that.’ And I just think: ‘Yep, I’ll go then.'”
But not only his anecdotes caused enthusiasm among roommates and fans alike. Tindall presented himself as a friend and strong shoulder at camp. He supported the other celebrities wherever he could and showed his good sense of humor. In the end he made it to fourth place. Footballer Jill Scott won the crown.
