In his speech he proclaimed that North Korea must “pursue a more active policy to develop strategic weapons, […] the world will witness a new weapon that we will possess soon.”

“Under the current conditions,” Kim added, “there is no longer a basis for maintaining over time, this unilateral commitment”, in reference to the moratorium on any testing of intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBM) and nuclear weapons. This is the only red line marked by the american leader, Donald Trump, who in a press conference hours later has been shown to be optimistic. “I know who is sending certain messages about Christmas gifts, and I hope that it relates to a beautiful vase, that is what I want, ‘ ” joked the president from his residence of Mar-a Lago in Florida. “We will do what we have to do, but he signed a contract, an agreement in which he spoke of the denuclearization […] I Think that is a man of his word, we’ll find out soon”.
