He did not want to exclude unit parts per se categorically says Coulthard, but the components are not limited, “the performance is absolutely relevant,” he says. The formula 1 should not become a unit series in which the cars differ only slightly from each other.
“IndyCar needs is not a world-wide audience, because it’s not rocket science,” says Coulthard, saying: “There [in formula 1] to have a certain magic. It may not be easy to cars by the rod. I don’t know that the rules go so far, but if there are too many unit parts …”
Why Coulthard wants no unit cars
