SOUTHAMPTON (England) – Maxwel Cornet scored twice in Burnley’s draw with Southampton in the Premier League.

After Tino Livramento, a teenager from Ivory Coast, and Armando Broja, 20, scored for Southampton in the first half, the Ivory Coast winger scored with a header. He then equalized with a dipping volley in 57 minutes.

Burnley’s fourth draw keeps it in the relegation zone along with other winless clubs Newcastle, Norwich and Norwich.

Cornet, who was signed this summer from Lyon, France, scored the opening goal in the 13th. He headed Matthew Lowton’s cross to the far side and past Alex McCarthy.

Southampton’s Theo Walcott missed the goal in the 36th. Nathan Redmond wasted a second chance, missing the target with what should have been a simple tap-in.

Livramento (18 years old), a Chelsea academy player, took a left-footed goal off the far post. The right back was not disappointed to score another Premier League goal in the 41st when he scored a header from a corner kick.

After a mistake by James Tarkowski, Broja, a Chelsea loanee, scored a goal in the far left corner to beat Nick Pope.

Southampton managed just one win this season and couldn’t keep the lead. Ashley Westwood sent Cornet a pass just outside the area, and Cornet turned to score on the half-volley.

Burnley won the Premier League’s last victory in May against Fulham with a score of 2-0.
