FC Copenhagen run the risk of both a large fine and the empty grandstands in the upcoming matches.
It happens, for followers on fanafsnittet section 12 on Thursday night made use of the large amounts of pyrotechnics as a part of their tifo for the Europa League match between FC Copenhagen and Malmö FF.
The Danish club were in the reverse encounter a fine from Uefa of 70,000 euro, equivalent to 523.000 crowns for the use of the burning of fireworks and an illegal banner.
Wednesday came the FC Copenhagen so, too, with an announcement on their website, where they clearly took distance from the pyrotechnics and direct, that they would stand for a hard punishment, if it happened again.
‘at the same time, there are also severe penalties for the club as a result of the breach of the law on the use of pyrotechnics. It can potentially lead to empty grandstands for our matches in the near future,’ they wrote on Wednesday.
You can see the FC Copenhagen tifo in the video at the top of the article.
‘Overall, it is a very serious situation that can potentially damage the F. C. Copenhagen. It is important to make it clear that when UEFA allocates FCK fines and other penalties for pyrotechnics in the stadium, so we get the punish, because it is not safe is defensible, and we will as a club be held accountable for that security is there for all the spectators.’
At the end of november, TV3 Sport also learn that the hammer would fall, if the FCK-fans will do something similar.
More accurately, a repetition of the use of pyrotechnics according to the media mean that the lower part of the B-grandstand – Section 12 – will be shut down for the next european home match.
The part of the grandstand includes 4.700 seats.
at the Time, I am also annoyance over the situation.
Already in Wednesday’s announcement from FC Copenhagen made it clear that it is an issue that will take time before it gets resolved.
‘We are already working in the day intensely to remove pyrotechnics from our struggles through a long series of actions in our security setup, like we are in constructive dialogue with various groups of fans and the authorities about the problem.’
‘We are aware that it is a complex issue, and that it’s going to take time before we are in goal.’
FC Copenhagen should, as a minimum, use a tie, if they will progress from Europa League group stage.
