FC Bayern Munich is relying on “the magic of Triple Red” for the season with a new final at home as the big highlight. The design of the new home jersey presented by the German football record champions is in three different shades of red for the first time in the club’s history.

“For identity, emotion and the drama of the game. Red has been more than just a color for FC Bayern for over 100 years,” the Munich team wrote in the statement.

The triple color nuances are also “a tribute” to FC Bayern, which is the only German men’s team to have won the treble of the championship, the DFB Cup and the Champions League. That would also be very much to the taste of the people of Munich in the new season. As in 2012, the Champions League final will take place in Munich at the end of the coming season.

However, not all fans can get used to the uniformly red jersey. According to the reactions online, many people miss the white portion of the new jersey. A fan writes on Instagram: “That looks like Bayer(n) Leverkusen!????????‍♂️ Our club colors are RED / WHITE!” (sic!)

The new jerseys will be worn for the first time by the Bayern women in the DFB Cup final on May 9th in Cologne against VfL Wolfsburg. The women will also appear with their own FC Bayern logo with two stars for the first time. The men will also wear the jersey on the final home game day of the current season in the Allianz Arena three days later against VfL Wolfsburg.
