For a long time, the two Sudanese military leaders only fought each other with words – since Saturday they have turned into bombs and grenades. Heavy fighting between General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan of the Sudanese Army SAF and General Hamdan Daglo of the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces RSF has shaken the country. In the capital Khartoum, tanks roll through streets and over Nile bridges, Migs fly low over houses and bombard the bases of the RSF troops. Their strength is estimated at a total of 100,000 men.
