Robert C. “Bob” Steimer Jr., 75, of Churchville, NY, passed away on Friday, March 28, 2025, at Strong Memorial Hospital after a long decline in health.

Born on September 12, 1949, in Medina, NY, Bob was the son of the late Robert C. and Erma (Kraatz) Steimer Sr.

He graduated from Lyndonville High School in 1968 before earning a degree from Genesee Community College and later a Bachelor’s in Computer Science from the University of Potsdam. On August 26, 1972, he married Sharon L. Hensel, and together they built a life in Churchville. Bob spent his career in cybersecurity at Wegmans, helping to protect the systems that kept the company running.

Bob and Sharon shared a love of travel, especially through camping and photographing the outdoors. He was a deeply patriotic man and a dedicated member of the Chili Volunteer Fire Department for many years.

He leaves behind his wife and best friend, Sharon, as well as two sisters, Pat (Bill) Eick and Kristine (David) Hydock; his brother-in-law, James Hensel; and his nieces and nephews, Todd (Angela) Eick, Tim (Lelainya) Eick, Heather (Jason) Milne, Katie (Bob) Olinger, Andrew (Margaret) Hydock, and their families, along with several cousins.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 10 AM – 12 PM at the Bogan & Tuttle Funeral Home, 226 Pearl St., Medina, NY 14103, where a funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM, officiated by Rev. Richard Wolf. A private burial will be held for the family.
