“Das Supertalent” will return to TV screens in 2024 after a long break. The RTL broadcaster announced this on Friday (August 18). It is also clear who will sit at the jury desk. The big surprise: veteran Dieter Bohlen (69) celebrates his comeback – as with “Deutschland sucht den Superstar”.
His longtime colleague Bruce Darnell (66) is also returning alongside him. “A great wish of mine has come true. ‘The super talent’ is back. And my friend Bruce is there. We both simply belong together,” Bohlen is quoted as saying in the message. And Darnell is also looking forward to the comeback of the talent show: “It’s like coming home for me! Back to the best jury seat!”
The well-established “Supertalent” duo has brought female support on board: “Let’s Dance” professional dancer Ekaterina Leonova (36) and “Let’s Dance” winner Anna Ermakova (23). “Being part of ‘Das Supertalent’ is like an accolade for me,” the daughter of Boris Becker (55) is quoted as saying. “Being on ‘Let’s Dance’ I know exactly what it feels like to be a contestant on a show like this.”
Leonova is also looking forward to the change of perspective: “I know from my own experience how important constructive criticism and valuable tips are for a successful performance and I can now experience how Mr. Llambi feels on the other side of the evaluation table.”
After RTL had changed the original jury around Dieter Bohlen after season 14, Michael Michalsky (56), Chantal Janzen (44) and the Ehrlich Brothers and changing guest judges were on the jury in season 15. Due to lower ratings, the station “Das Supertalent” then suspended indefinitely. The 16th season is now scheduled to start in spring 2024, an exact start date is not yet known.
