Tenth episode of “The Summer House of the Stars” (Wednesday, 8:15 p.m. on RTL – also on RTL) and the last with a nomination at the end. The two-part finale will take place next week. This can definitely be done without Pia Tillmann (37) and Zico Banach (32). The two “Köln 50667” stars are moving out after being voted out yesterday. For their confidants Justine Dippl (35) and Arben Zekic (28) it feels as if their hearts were being ripped out. The other candidates don’t shed a tear after Pia and Zico. Hanna Sökeland (29) and Jessica Huber hide in the shower while moving out.

The five remaining couples only have one game left to secure themselves. Aleks Petrovic (32) and Vanessa Nwattu (23) are under even more pressure than usual. Instead of sticking together even more, the two argue about how to deal with the increased pressure – accept it (Vanessa) or deny it (Aleks).

In the challenge, couples have to climb onto a net and fumble a large plastic ball through the meshes full of obstacles. From above they have to hit three targets on the ground with the balls. For once, the game suits all candidates well, no duo fails, even if Aleks initially misses at least one ball. The fastest were Serkan Yavuz (30) and Samira Klampfl (29), they are certainly in the last week.

Aleks and Vanessa have at least one foot over the abyss. Vanessa is already mentally giving up. Aleks wants to keep fighting. He tries to persuade his competitor Maurice Dziwak (25) to have a direct duel in the field. After all, he has been fantasizing for several episodes about wanting to show everyone in a direct duel. Accordingly, he begins to ponder Aleks’ offer.

Before being nominated, the men (plus Hanna) must complete an unscheduled challenge. They have to, um, be allowed to write a love letter to their partners and read it out in front of the whole team. First the ink flows and then, as expected, the tears.

Only Aleks is disappointed. Instead of writing like the other men about what they appreciate about their partners, he summarizes his and Vanessa’s performance in the summer house. Maurice later compares the letter to a “military protocol”. “One would say that the topic has been missed at school,” concludes Serkan. So grade six for Aleks. Vanessa initially puts on a good face in front of the entire team. But when they are alone, the disappointment bursts out of her. “We are not on the same level,” she complains, crying.

There is a surprise for the last nomination. Each couple must cast two votes. The first vote goes to Aleks and Vanessa, everyone agrees. But who gets the second vote? The remaining four couples want to nominate each other, according to the first suggestion. But Justine quickly realizes that she and Arben are on the hit list, especially with Maurice’s partner Ricarda Raatz (31).

Aleks’ plan to trick Maurice and others into a direct duel didn’t work. As expected, he and Vanessa get four votes. The rest are divided equally between Justine/Arben and Ricarda/Maurice. Hanna and Jessica keep a clean slate.

Now what does that mean? Nothing. There isn’t even an exit challenge. Only one couple has to go. Maurice is again spared the duel that he had promised. And Aleks and Vanessa are actually outside this time.
