After the “Bolognese Gate” is before the Cordalis noise: There is a new trouble spot in the RTL jungle camp – but one less prominent camper. Designer Claudia Effenberg has to show “I’m a star – get me out of here!” leaving.
The wife of ex-soccer player Stefan Effenberg received too few votes from the viewers and flew out of the reality show – which didn’t seem to be too much of a nuisance (“I’m looking forward to clean clothes.”) In her last hours in the camp she was also allowed to witness the theatrical escalation of a dispute between three men.
The focus: singer Lucas Cordalis, model Papis Loveday and reality actor Gigi Birofio. The three had started a disgust test in which pig anus, crocodile cloaca and goat testicles had to be eaten. While Loveday and Birofio successfully munched on, Cordalis found it very difficult to eat solid food. “I can drink, I just can’t swallow,” he explained. He identified a lack of salivation as a problem.
Quarrel between three men escalated
Although in the end five out of seven possible stars – as the points in the jungle camp are called – were brought in, the mood after the menu was rather bad. Cordalis felt that his two peers were harping on about his performance a bit too explicitly. Therefore, he reproached them for winning together in a team – but also losing together. “If you start like that,” he said, “then I can say 1000 things.”
This, in turn, enraged Loveday and Birofio, who accused the son of pop singer Costa Cordalis of not being honest and hiding his true opinion. In the logic of reality programs, this is considered a very serious charge. When Cordalis tried to explain and analyze himself with the sentence “Wherever I go, I try to find good things, not bad ones”, Birofio snapped at him: “Stop always being an angel!”
The situation escalated to such an extent that the trio did not return to the camp together and Cordalis accused his colleagues of leaving him “alone in the woods”. Attempts to mediate, especially by influencer Jolina Mennen, failed.
Effenberg caused a stir with “Bolognese bomb”.
The new dispute, a few days before Sunday’s final, even pushed aside the “Bolognese Gate” that Claudia Effenberg and reality actress Djamila Rowe had triggered. The two had – it was supposed to be a joke – told their fellow campers that RTL had offered them a portion of spaghetti bolognese, which they had rejected in downright heroic selflessness. But that’s not true. The “Bolognese bomb” went off with a delay but violently. It may also have been a factor in the end of Effenberg’s jungle crown ambitions.
Cordalis, Loveday, Birofio, Mennen, Rowe and the singer and “Checker vom Neckar” Cosimo Citiolo are still in the camp. Actress Jana Pallaske, model Tessa Bergmeier, pop singer Markus Mörl, radio presenter Verena Kerth and reality actress Cecilia Asoro had to go before Effenberg.
A few tears were cried for Asoro in particular. “Cecilia is one of the most real people in reality,” said her buddy Gigi Birofio. “She would have given anything for it. She would have cut off a finger to take the crown home.”
