Tour start postponed due to rib fracture: Fans of the singer Helene Fischer have often responded to the forced break of the 38-year-old with wishes for recovery. “Even if the tour isn’t until 2024! The main thing is that you get well again quickly!” Wrote a user on Instagram on Monday evening.
There Fischer had announced that the start of the tour, originally planned for this Tuesday in Bremen, had to be postponed. “Health definitely comes first,” wrote another fan. Another commented that Fischer’s singing on stage was crucial – even if she was just sitting.
According to the tour organizer Live Nation, the singer suffered a rib fracture during rehearsals, which is why the shows in Bremen and Cologne are being postponed. Sometimes “higher powers are at work,” wrote Fischer (38, “Breathless”) on Instagram. “It is therefore with a heavy heart that we have to postpone the premiere (…).” New dates in Bremen are from May 10th to 12th, in Cologne from August 25th to September 2nd. “All tickets for the concerts remain valid,” it said.
Fischer: “Must follow medical advice”
The performances planned in Hamburg from April 11 were not canceled on Monday evening. The premiere of the tour with 71 concerts and around 700,000 fans is to take place there.
Fischer wrote: “I hope you know how sorry I am because I know how happy it is that it’s finally starting and how much inconvenience a transfer brings with it. Believe me, I would have it myself Also requested otherwise, but I have to follow urgent medical advice.”
Fischer developed the “Intoxication” tour with the Cirque du Soleil acrobatic group. She last toured in 2018. After a baby break, she returned to the stage in 2022 and gave her biggest concert to date in Munich in front of around 130,000 fans.
On Fischer’s Instagram page, followers expressed their hope that the other planned performances would not have to be canceled. However, she should take the necessary time to recover so that she can then go on stage “full of fun and without pain”.
