These are not easy times for the British royals, as alongside King Charles III. (75) his daughter-in-law Princess Kate (42) is also suffering from cancer. Given the health concerns, Charles’ niece Princess Eugenie’s 34th birthday may have been overshadowed. Nevertheless, she spoke up on Instagram and, above all, made herself aware of the joy of her motherhood: “The best gift of all are my boys,” she emphasized in an Instagram posting.
On Sunday, the princess posted a new photo of her nine-month-old son Ernest George Ronnie on Instagram to mark her birthday and shared that she was happy to spend her special day with her family. She appreciates “my family and my loved ones on this birthday,” she wrote alongside a photo in which she is holding her youngest child in the air. Eugenie is also mother to three-year-old son August Philip Hawke. She has both children with her husband Jack Brooksbank (37), with whom she has been married since October 2018.
Eugenie’s mother, Sarah “Fergie” Ferguson (64), also commented on the special day with an Instagram post and warmly congratulated her youngest daughter: “I am so proud of the incredible woman you have grown into,” she wrote on one Photo of her kissing her daughter on the temple. “You amaze me every day with your hard work, your grace, kindness and the care you show to others,” the Duchess of York continued. “You will always be my goofy, sweet, smart and considerate girl.”
Fergie also has health problems. After battling breast cancer, Fergie announced in January that she had been diagnosed with skin cancer. “My two beautiful daughters are my passionate cheerleaders, my dedicated supporters and my soulmates,” Fergie said in an interview with People, adding that Eugenie and Beatrice, 35, “were as supportive as possible.”
