Defamation is one of his core competencies: Oliver Pocher is not known for being particularly squeamish with his fellow human beings. The comedian also doesn’t take into account whether the target of his attack is not doing so well.
Now Pocher has tackled none other than Helene Fischer. The pop singer recently had to postpone the start of her tour due to a broken rib. Fischer herself spoke of “acute pain”, she really tried everything to suppress the injury, but urgent medical advice forced her to make this decision.
Oliver Pocher doesn’t seem to believe that, as he said in the podcast “Die Pochers!” let through, which he publishes together with his wife Amira. In the current issue, the comedian spoke of “a few inconsistencies” and explained that he had “one, two, three theories”.
The 45-year-old didn’t keep quiet about exactly what these theories say. Without giving detailed figures, Pocher claimed that the pre-sale did not go as it should for Helene Fischer. Appointments during the week went much worse than appointments at the weekend.
His consideration: “This tour only pays off if it’s 100 percent sold out.” But she’s not – and that’s a decent minus deal. “Even if there are 1,000 tickets missing per performance,” says Pocher, “if you extrapolate that to 70 concerts, there’s a lot going on.”
Even if he doesn’t say it directly, Oliver Pocher indirectly suggests that the broken ribs serve as an excuse to reduce the number of appointments a little.
The concert promoter Live Nation vehemently disagrees. “An absurd question in view of almost 700,000 tickets sold,” said a press spokeswoman when asked by the “Bild” newspaper. With this outstanding result, the last tour was even surpassed.
Helene Fischer has already announced the catch-up dates for the unusual shows in Bremen and Cologne on Instagram. And thus punished Pocher lies: All concerts in the two cities will be rescheduled.
