For once, the latest episode of Amira Pocher’s podcast “Liebes Leben” (exclusively on Podimo) is not about her separation from her husband Oliver Pocher. Instead, the 31-year-old tells her brother and podcast partner Hima Aly about the first panic attack of her life. The shocking story has to do with Amira’s first pregnancy.

The incident occurred a few years ago on the flight back to Cologne from a vacation in Mallorca. On the plane, comedian Oliver Pocher was talking to one of his children about plane crashes before take-off when it happened to the pregnant Amira. “At that moment a switch completely flipped for me, I had a panic attack. My first one in my life, I cried, I just jumped up,” says the influencer in the new episode of “Liebes Leben” .

She tried to leave the plane before takeoff, but this was no longer possible because the cabin door was already closed.

Pocher’s ex also immediately provides an explanation for what happened. A therapist who she went to straight away to treat her new fear of flying is said to have explained to her that her feelings of panic during pregnancy were “completely normal”. Pregnant women would therefore develop fear for their own lives, as they themselves would have to “raise a living being” in the future, as Amira Pocher explains. “I’m so afraid for my life because the thought of my children crying for me and missing me breaks my heart,” she explains as the podcast conversation continues.

Fortunately, the pregnant Amira Pocher was able to successfully treat her acute fear of flying a few years ago with the help of her new therapist, so that the Pochers were able to get on the next plane to the Bahamas around a week after the Mallorca incident.
