He has the full speed on his career, and the young Christian Lundgaard may very well be the next dane in Formula 1.

He is just 18 years old and have already, after his rookie year in the Formula 3 a possible place in Formula 2 in 2020 in wait. But behold the man a little further out in the future, so looks like Lundgaard at the present time an obvious candidate for a seat in Formula 1.

And an obvious candidate for the Formula 1 considers racing driver Jan Magnussen, also, that the Christian Lundgaard is. He tells this in the latest and last issue of K-Magazine, which you can hear here in the article.

“I think he will be the next dane in Formula 1,” says, among other things from Jan Magnussen in the podcast.

In 2019 was Christian Lundgaard, who is associated with Renault’s academy, at several times selected for a number of Formula 1 tests, just like he has already this year made his debut in the Formula 2 scene.

According to Renault’s Formula 1 boss, Cyril Abiteboul, it is expected that one of the team’s akademikørere promoted to a seat in Formula 1 in 2021. And is it Lundgaard, who is slated for the space, it can be some of the explanation as to why he is already now expected to be promoted to Formula 2 after just one year in Formula 3.

race car Driver Michael Christensen, who in 2019 was world champion in the WEC, had, however, like to set Lundgaard take one more year in Formula 3, before he takes the next step.

“I would have said a year more (in the Formula 3, red.), if there were free children’s playground with the money and with the right preparation, but that can of course be many reasons for this, the Formula 2, they are aiming for,” says race car driver Michael Christensen in the podcast.

One of the many reasons is with all likelihood just the schedule, Renault has put in order to get a akademikører in Formula 1 is already in 2021.

“There may be a schedule that must be followed, and that he (Lundgaard, ed.) get the opportunity to be him, they choose, so it may be that Renault says that so is the Formula 2 now, and then he may be ready for the time (Formula 1, red.),” says Jan Magnussen, who ideally also like to had seen Lundgaard take more than a year in the Formula 3-car.

About Christian Lundgaard will be the next dane in Formula 1, should the time display. One thing is certainly sure – 2020 will be a crucial year for the young akademikører.

In this issue of K-Magazine tells Jan Magnussen also about the breach with the Corvette and its plans for the future, and Michael Christensen put words on a lost season, a world championship and a not-so-successful Le Mans.
