Pamela Anderson (56) has revealed why she no longer wears make-up. She didn’t want to make a statement – she wanted to be “real”. She explained this to The Daily Telegraph, as Daily Mail reports.

The “Baywatch” icon caused a stir at Paris Fashion Week this year by appearing makeup-free on the front row. In a video interview with French Vogue, she revealed that she wanted to focus on clothing at Fashion Week in Paris and had therefore decided to forgo make-up. Acting colleagues such as Scarlett Johansson (38) and Jamie Lee Curtis (64) praised Anderson for her courage. “The natural beauty revolution has officially begun,” Curtis wrote on Instagram alongside photos of Pamela Anderson in Paris. Scarlett Johansson spoke of a “strong message” in an interview with “Popsugar.”

Anderson never imagined that her “no-makeup” look would get so much attention. “I have no makeup at home, so why not for Paris Fashion Week,” she told People magazine. “I really didn’t know anyone would notice,” Anderson said. But she was happy about the positive message she was able to send with her appearance.

The motivation to stop applying make-up in the future is apparently also related to her renovation show “Pamela’s Garden of Eden”. It is said that she wanted to show her fans her true face. “I didn’t want it to be fake and fake. I just had to be myself, it was literally screaming to come out of me,” the 56-year-old explained, according to media reports. It was liberating for her to show who she really was and is. Pamela Anderson started to enjoy performing naturally. Since then, she has enjoyed attending events without makeup. “It wasn’t intended as a statement,” said the actress. “I looked in the mirror and said to myself: ‘You’re almost 60, that’s good enough, just enjoy Paris and don’t play the game’.”
