With her new album “Midnights”, US singer Taylor Swift is number one in the official German charts for the first time.
“She even has the best start of a solo artist in 2022,” said GfK Entertainment on Friday in Baden-Baden. With more than 20 million streams, “Midnights” is the most streamed album in Germany in the first week after release this year.
With the live version of “Rausch”, Helene Fischer is back in the album charts and takes second place there. This is followed by the band Avantasia with “A Paranormal Evening With The Moonflower Society” in third place, a-ha with “True North” as a newcomer in fourth place and – as in the previous week – the Arctic Monkeys with “The Car” unchanged fifth place
Peter Fox took the lead in the single charts with “Zukunft Pink” (feat. Inéz). According to GfK Entertainment, it’s his first number one hit after becoming known for songs like “Alles neu”, “Haus am See” and “Schwarz zu blau”. Second and third place went to Nina Chuba (“Wildberry Lillet”) and Luciano respectively
