Cologne-born singer Kim Petras (30) has released a single with rapper Nicki Minaj (40). The song collaboration “Alone” was released on Friday (local time). The Eurodance song features a sample of Alice Deejay’s 1999 club hit, “Better Off Alone.” a message from their record label.
The Los Angeles-based German made headlines in February with her historic Grammy win. Together with British singer Sam Smith, Petras was awarded the trophy for best pop duo for their club hit “Unholy”. This makes the German the first transgender artist in the history of the Grammys to win in this category. “Unholy” peaked at number one in the UK and US in autumn 2022.
