Fans can look forward to a little “Scrubs” reunion. The medical comedy series was one of the most popular sitcoms on TV from 2001 to 2010. Around 14 years after the last episode, the contact between former series colleagues Zach Braff, Sarah Chalke, John C. McGinley and Christa Miller does not seem to have been broken off. Together they beam into the camera for a photo together.
“Spontaneous pizza party with my scrubs,” Miller writes about the snapshot on her Instagram account. John McGinley, the Dr. Perry Cox, who played the role, shares a similar picture on The fans are also very excited about the reunion of their series stars. “We need a movie or a reboot” and “I love seeing you all together!” rave users.
Some “Scrubs” stars have maintained close personal friendships for years. In 2022, the actors Braff, Chalke, McGinley, Judy Reyes, Neil Flynn and Donald Faison as well as the screenwriter Bill Lawrence appeared together at the ATX TV Festival.
On the podium they discussed a new edition of the cult series. “We would all love to work together again. But it can’t be a whole season. It would have to be a movie or something,” Faison said at the time, as Deadline reported. The actors are too involved in other projects for another season. “We’re going to do it because people still care and we like spending time together,” Lawrence said optimistically.
“Scrubs” was produced for a total of nine seasons. The sitcom about medical student John Dorian, played by Zach Braff, impressed with its weird humor and the legendary daydreams of “J.D.”
