After the death of Lisa Marie Presley (1968-2023) in January 2023, her ex-husband, the musician Michael Lockwood (61), represents the twins Harper and Finley (born 2008) in court. This is reported by the US magazine “People”. A judge agreed to one in the corresponding application that was filed in March.
The process is about the legacy of Lisa Marie Presley, the daughter of actress Priscilla Presley (77) and the “King of Rock ‘n’ Roll” Elvis Presley (1935-1977). Lisa Marie died of cardiac arrest at the age of 54 and was later buried at the family home, Graceland, in Memphis, Tennessee.
Lockwood’s appointment to represent the twins came after a hearing in Los Angeles on Thursday, during which the musician’s attorney said the 61-year-old was “ready, able and willing to represent their interests.” The musician also has “a good, collegial, family relationship with all parties involved”.
According to CNN, the lawyers for Priscilla Presley and Riley Keough (33), Lisa Marie’s eldest daughter, had raised no objection to the appointment of Lockwood, to whom the deceased was married from 2006 to 2021. Lisa Marie also had a son, Benjamin Keough (1989-2020), who died in 2020.
Keough and Presley did not show up for the hearing. Priscilla is contesting a 2016 will change. Through these, the deceased’s ex-manager, Barry Siegel, and her mother were apparently removed from the trust and replaced by Lisa Marie Presley’s eldest children, Riley and Benjamin, as administrators. The next hearing is scheduled for May 16.
