On day seven in the jungle, Sarah Kern quickly realized that her conversation partner, GNTM model Anya Elsner, had entered into her conversation with ulterior motives. “You’re a mother too,” Anya said to her camp colleague. And so the designer started talking, revealing that the topic of children always made her very sensitive. Anya seemed to have just been waiting for the counter question. Sarah wanted to know what the relationship with her parents was like.
“I have no relationship with my mother at all. Since I was a teenager, I’ve lost the feeling of being loved by her,” revealed Anya. When she reached puberty, her mother started smoking, which really bothered her. “My mother never smiles. She walks very slouched, has a crooked back. We’re just not on the same wavelength,” she continued. Her father, on the other hand, could put a smile on anyone’s face. “My mother is not beautiful,” said the model. “I was ashamed to go out with her,” she said.
Then she revealed that her mother had forbidden her from speaking about her in the jungle. Sarah Kern reacted skeptically to Anya’s stories on the jungle telephone. “I couldn’t believe that she was looking for this topic. She didn’t have to address the mother. Just because I’m a mother now, with two children, because Cora isn’t there – and there aren’t any other mothers in the room ” she speculated about the reasons.
Jungle fans online were similarly irritated by Anya’s statements. “Today we were able to learn from Anya that it causes trauma when the mother doesn’t give up smoking, has a crooked back and is not pretty. It shows real depth and warmth of heart when you see this on TV without being asked
Anya’s father has also been in the spotlight recently. After his daughter’s crush on David Odonkor, he commented in an RTL interview that his daughter had recently been with an Egyptian named Mahmoud. “And the name has now improved. Mahmoud became David, so I’m a little happier,” he said in front of the camera. In an interview with the “Bild” newspaper before moving into the camp, Anya said that her parents had separated a few years ago.
