US singer Gwen Stefani (54) had the right outfit for a star ceremony in Hollywood: in a silver mini dress with glittering star decorations, the star unveiled the 2,764th star on the “Walk of Fame”. In front of photographers and cheering spectators, Stefani went down and lounged on the plaque.
Never in her “wildest dreams” did she believe this kid from Orange County would get a star in Hollywood, the California native said. Despite all her successes, it is “the greatest joy” of her life to be the mother of her three sons Kingston (17), Zuma (15) and Apollo (9). The children from Stefani’s divorced marriage to rock musician Gavin Rossdale posed with their mother on the plaque. The former No Doubt frontwoman also brought her parents and siblings to the celebration.
Husband Blake Shelton gives speech
As a guest speaker, Stefani’s husband Blake Shelton (47) gave an emotional speech. She is his favorite songwriter and she deserves this star – “and I love you,” said the country star (“Lonely Tonight”, “God’s Country”). He himself was immortalized on the famous sidewalk in the heart of Hollywood last May. Shelton raved about their first meeting in 2014. Stefani, without any airs and graces, came to work in her own car with her three little boys in tow, the country star said.
Stefani and the singer met as coaches on the US casting show “The Voice”, and in 2021 they married at Shelton’s estate in the US state of Oklahoma. Stefani became known in the 1990s as the front woman of the rock band No Doubt (“Don’t Speak”). The Grammy Award winner has been singing since 2004 with “Love. Angel. Music. Baby.” or “This Is What the Truth Feels Like” also released solo albums. Together with Shelton she recorded songs like “Nobody But You” and “Happy Anywhere”.
