The fact that women are sterilized is still a taboo subject for many people. You have decided to do this. Why?I never had the desire to become a mother or the need for children to run around me 24/7 for the next 20 years. I always waited for this wish to come at some point. But that didn’t happen. I had a lot of other wishes that I wanted to implement: having another horse, buying a riding stable, traveling to certain countries. I think having a child is such a big responsibility that you should really be passionate about it. I see this with my best friend. She desperately wanted two children and was just as passionate about it as I was about my dreams.

Why did you decide to speak publicly about this very private topic? I would first like to make it clear that I did not go aggressively to the press because I have a great story to tell. I initially only shared the topic with my Instagram community. They get everything from me from morning to evening. It’s part of my job that I let my followers participate in my everyday life. In the summer I made two reels in which I said that I didn’t want children. I recently posted another post and reported that I had surgery. When questions came about, I thought to myself: ‘I’m so authentic with the people, they’re so close to me, then I can tell them what I’ve done.’ For many, this is apparently an incredibly private, sensitive topic. It’s so clear to me that everyone can do whatever they want with their body that I had little qualms about just telling that in the story.
