– As a result of this evaluation, we have decided to give priority to the delivery of the aircraft, we have standing, and temporarily stop production next month.
It is unclear when Boeing will resume production of the 737 MAX aircraft, which will take place at Boeing’s factory in Seattle in the northwest UNITED states.
Since the flight ban against aircraft was issued in the spring, the company has each month produced an average of 42 aircraft of the type boeing 737.
As a justification to suspend production in January writing Boeing among other things, that there is uncertainty about when the planes are allowed again to fly.
Boeing has previously stated that the two incidents that triggered the flight ban, was caused by a failure in the activation of the aircraft’s MCAS-function. It is an automatic system, which is intended to prevent the aircraft loses its buoyancy.
