Actress Jane Fonda, 85, apparently has no interest in men her age. “I’m ashamed to say this, but if I were to take a lover, he would have to be 20,” Fonda reveals on comedian Heather McMahan’s podcast “Absolutely Not.”
She reacts visibly with amusement and asks in more detail why an older partner wouldn’t be an option. “Because I don’t like old skin,” the acting legend continued.
Fonda is known for not mincing words. Her appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” in 2020, in which she spoke openly about her sex life, also made many headlines. “I don’t have time. I’m old and I’ve already had so much of it. I don’t need it right now because I’m too busy,” said the 85-year-old.
Fonda speaks more often about her appearance, for example that she underwent a facelift. As she gets older, she also has less and less desire to hide her gray hair by dyeing it – and doesn’t miss it, as she revealed to “The Telegraph” in the summer of 2023:
“Not for a second. It’s so expensive to get your hair dyed, it takes hours and there are all the chemicals on your head. So I’m very grateful that I don’t do that anymore. I think my hair is turned out really well. When you go to gray, you never know if it’s going to be a good shade of gray, but I was lucky.” Mascara and lipstick are still part of Jane Fonda’s make-up.
The actress has been rumored to have had numerous love stories with prominent men over the decades. Fonda was married three times: her first marriage to director Roger Vadim lasted from 1965 to 1973.
Shortly afterwards she married the politician Tom Hayden and divorced in 1990. In 1991 she finally made her third and last attempt with TV tycoon Ted Turner. The marriage lasted around ten years.
